An Intergenerational Story Exchange in Ireland, a National Magazine Award in New York

“There is no agony like bearing an untold story inside you.”

Narrative 4’s headquarters in Limerick, Ireland, has been busy winning awards (the Tidy Town!) and grants (to develop a Narrative 4 Loss pairing a local hospice with students), hosting cultural nights shared with thousands on on Facebook Live, and, of course, leading story exchanges of every description.

One of those exchanges – between teenage students from the Loreto Abbey School and elderly residents of the Sue Ryder Dalkey home – was captured, beautifully, on video by a student filmmaker:

The Dalkey Story Exchange

We can’t recommend this short piece highly enough. As those N4 ambassadors who saw it at the 2016 summit can attest, it’s an inspiration.

In other video news, Narrative 4’s collaboration with New York Magazine, a Narrative 4 Gun Awareness, took home an Ellie – the magazine world’s Oscar equivalent – from the American Society of Magazine Editors this week. Congratulations all around!

Best wishes until next week,

The N4 Team
