Become a Narrative 4 School!

Narrative 4 Ireland’s The Empathy Project trains secondary school teachers and youth workers to run the Story Exchange learning module in their classrooms. The CPD (Certified Professional Development) training consists of one day training with follow-up check-ins and support. The Story Exchange module has already been delivered in over 20 schools in the region, and has been piloted in Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh for the last two years. (The UK’s Guardian recently covered a project in Limerick)

Modeled on the work we have been doing across the US, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Israel and South Africa, the module builds empathy and breaks down social boundaries through personal stories.

Creative Ireland Creativity Fund are funding 50 places for teachers in the Midwest in the 2018/ 2019 year. Training is free but booking is advised.

In 2019, trainings will also be taking place in Galway, Clare and Dublin. These trainings are funded by Narrative 4 and Social Innovation Ireland Fund’s Youth Mental Health Fund. Trained teachers and youth workers will also be invited to the Empathy Conference, which takes in August 2019.
