Faisal Mohyuddin has taught English at Highland Park High School in suburban Chicago since 2003. He has co-developed a number of new courses, participated in a number of curriculum redesign efforts, earned recognition for innovative teaching from Microsoft, and twice been selected as an NEH summer teaching fellow. He is a 2014-15 fellow in the U.S. Department of State’s Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) program. Faisal is a graduate of Carleton College and Northwestern University, and is currently studying writing at Columbia College Chicago. His work has appeared in several publications, including Prairie Schooner, Crab Orchard Review, Poet Lore, Atlanta Review, and Indivisible: An Anthology of Contemporary South Asian American Poetry (University of Arkansas Press, 2010).
