Narrative 4 Nigeria brings together 110 people across ten schools for the first Ibadan Inter-School Story Exchange.
While digital technology gives us the power to cross “borders” like never before, it oftentimes can feel like we are more disconnected from our neighbors down the street. Nothing brings people together in person like stories, so we were proud to host the first Ibadan Inter-School Story Exchange at the American Corner, Ibadan.
More than 110 students, teachers, and representatives from the Oyo State Ministry of Education participated in this event, which gathered students from ten secondary schools in Ibadan, Nigeria.
Participants across the spectrum discovered the importance of empathy and compassion and in the classroom — and beyond. They also got their first opportunity to experience our powerful and life-changing Narrative 4 Story Exchange.
“Coming together for a Story Exchange brought a sense of relief and freedom,” said Joseph Onokpe, Regional Manager, Nigeria. “Not being able to tell their stories has been a burden to many of them.”
