From Story
to Shared Understanding

  1. Practice active listening & curiosity
You’ll take time to get grounded, learn the guidelines, and share a personal story. You’ll focus on attention, curiosity, and understanding rather than response or judgment.
  2. Retell through your partner’s perspective
After listening, you’ll retell your partner’s story in the first person. This practice invites you to take a different perspective from your own.
  3. Reflect & feel connected
The workshop ends with group reflection. Stories are revisited, insights are shared, and people name what it felt like to listen and be heard.

By sharing our story and retelling each other’s stories, suddenly that person in front of me fills up with humanness and experience, sense and emotion. It’s not just a surface anymore.
