“We need to hear from corners of America we haven’t heard from. I want you to go out with a mission, to seek out voices we’re not hearing. ” — Charles Sennott, Founder, The Groundtruth Project
In 2017, five early-career reporters set out on a two-and-a-half month journey across America to explore the issues that divide us and discover the stories that unite us.
Narrative 4 was along for the ride, facilitating story exchange workshops in five partner high schools: High School of Commerce in Springfield, Massachusetts; Floyd Central High School in Floyd County, Kentucky; St. Louis Park High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota; Two Eagle River School in Pablo, Montana; and Fremont High School in Oakland, California.
While the divisons explored in the film are still present today, so is N4’s mission to build bridges and connect communities across difference.
