Sixty students from Cambridge, MA. led a story exchange during the 2nd annual Youth Equity Summit (Y.E.S.)!
Our mission is cultivating the next generation of leaders through the power of story. The best way to do that? Empowering them to tell their own stories – and to lead story exchanges for others.
On Monday, January 8, Narrative 4 North America, Northeast Region, led a full-day story exchange and facilitator training with 60 student leaders at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) in Cambridge, MA.
These students didn’t just experience a story exchange; they learned how to plan and facilitate them as well. Under the guidance of student mentors, CRLS students put their new talents to the test by facilitating story exchanges for freshmen at the 2nd annual Youth Equity Summit, or Y.E.S.!
“One of the best applications of our facilitator training process is to help build student leadership,” said Allison Lerman-Gluck, Northeast Regional Manager. “Every time we run a student training, we see them plan some of the most creative and connected exchanges.”
This milestone moment in student-led training came to us through the Cambridge Office of Equity Inclusion and Belonging. As a critical partner of ours for the past 3 years, we thank them for their help, and look forward to many more collaborations like this!
