PRESS RELEASE – Narrative 4 Leads Storytelling Workshop at The Vatican, Answering Pope Francis’s Call to “Let Your Storytelling Be Hope Telling”

At the Jubilee of the World of Communication Conference, Pope Francis addressed communicators and global storytellers, urging them to share narratives that inspire hope, bridge divides, and foster unity. As part of this inaugural Jubilee event,  youth organization Narrative 4 led a special storytelling workshop with 130 young professional communicators from 62 countries, showcasing the power of storytelling as a force for repair and positive social change.

How Can We? Project is Shaping Maine’s Future Leaders

The Can We? Project continues to grow and thrive across Maine, creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage in civil dialogue, foster compassion, and inspire change within their communities. The program works directly with cohorts of students and teachers from partner schools, offering them the tools to navigate political and social differences through dialogue. Each year, as interest and capacity allow, the program expands to include new schools, with the hope that the skills learned will ripple outward.

High School in the Community (HSIC), a public school with a longstanding relationship with Narrative 4, continues to make strides in integrating storytelling and compassion into its culture. Under the leadership of Principal Carrie Strand, the school has hosted numerous impactful events, from global exchanges with a school in Ireland to collaborations between students and police officers. For HSIC, the power of storytelling and connection isn’t new, but each year, the school finds new ways to dive deeper into this transformative work.

The Mosaic of Families program was designed to inspire and empower parents through a series of workshops and conferences that promote the core principles of Narrative 4: curiosity, imagination, deep listening, and positive action. What sets this program apart is its inclusive approach, tailored to accommodate the diverse cultural and academic backgrounds of families, as well as a range of learning styles. Whether in K-12 or beyond, these workshops engage parents from all walks of life, drawing them into the transformative world of storytelling and demonstrating how stories shape our identities and deepen our connections with others.
