Virtual Field Exchange: Connecting Students Around the World
For the past few months, students from University Heights High School in New York, the American School of Tampico in Mexico, and Floyd County High School in Kentucky have been meeting virtually by stepping into their on-campus Shared_Studios Portals. This ground-breaking pilot program is helping us create multiple learning models designed to offload educators and find new ways to use literature, music, art and, of course, stories, to explore themes of immigration, identity, violence, the environment and faith. As always, the objective is to break down barriers, shatter stereotypes, foster empathy and turn empathy into action. Fox 5 News captured the essence of the project. Watch the full segment here.
