Part 1: Draw Your Art

10 minutes

  • Say: Today we are going to be using our imagination skills to create a piece of art based on a prompt. The prompt is “Tell a story about a day you spent with a special person in your life.”
  • Allow students time to brainstorm the story they would like to draw. Encourage them to think of the characters, setting and big events that happened during their true story.
  • Students will draw a picture using whatever art supplies they have. Allow them to be as creative as they would like.
