    • To begin today’s activity students will be following teacher directions to draw a sun.
    • Say: Today we are going to practice our deep listening skills. To start, I am going to give directions on how to draw a sun. Your job is to follow my directions and see if you are able to draw the exact same sun as I did. Share the following directions.
  • “Today you are going to draw a sun by following these steps.  First, use an orange marker to make a circle at the top of your paper.”  (Wait for students to finish).  “Then use a yellow marker to draw lines coming out of the circle as rays.”  (Wait for students to finish).  “Last, draw a face on your sun.” (Wait for students to finish).
