How can our social awareness allow us to work together?

During this lesson students will be invited to practice their listening and social awareness skills without having conversations. They will have two stones (or equivalent objects) in front of them to click together and pass to the right. They will need to work as a team to create a synchronous and fluid movement of grabbing, clicking and passing their objects.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to practice balancing their self and social awareness to work together as a team.

Materials

  • Two stones (or any equivalent sized objects) per participant

  • Break students into small groups of 5 or 6. Each student should have two stones in front of them. Note, you can use different objects. They must be objects that can fit in the palm of a student’s hand and can be grabbed, clicked together and passed to the next person.
