How can exploring our own identity allow us to better understand our relationship to ourselves and others?

During this lesson participants will create an identity map to explore the identities they hold and around the identities they believe others perceive them to hold. They will explore this map through discussion prompts.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to explore their identity from multiple lenses.

Materials

  • On the inside of the circle, participants will write at least 4 things they know to be true about their identity.
  • Next, direct participants to write at least 4 traits that represent how they are perceived by other people.
