How can the story exchange deepen our connection to others in our community?

During this lesson, students will use deep listening and empathy skills to complete a alternate version of the story exchange. During an object exchange, students will choose an object to tell a story about. They will exchange their story with a partner. After they exchange stories, they will join a larger group and retell their partner’s story in the first person. Participants will be given time for reflection and closing.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to deeply listen to their partner's story and retell their story from the first person perspective.
